Woman trapped in 'bread crumb machine' in Melbourne

A woman has been rescued after she became trapped in an industrial-sized bread crumb machine in Melbourne overnight.

Paramedics and the Country Fire Authority (CFA) were called to the factory in Dandenong South just before midnight after the worker became stuck.

They found her in the appliance, which was described as an "industrial sized pulverising machine".

She suffered a head injury and was taken to the Alfred Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.

A worker from a neighbouring factory told 9News a similar incident happened at the factory around a month ago.
