Workplace investigators seize truck that rolled forward, crushing worker to death

A 44-year-old man has died after a truck he was working on rolled forward, trapping him against a wall. (9NEWS)
WorkCover will investigate the death of a man crushed between a truck and the wall of a building last night.
Police said it appeared the 44-year-old man was working on his truck at a work site at Lambton in Newcastle when the truck rolled forward, trapping him against the wall around 9pm.

The man sustained extensive injuries and was treated by paramedics, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The truck will be seized for forensic mechanical examination.
