Shoppers have called out a supermarket over price differences between stores just minutes apart.

Locals in Alexandria in Sydney's inner south noticed a $1.50 difference in upmarket coconut water between two Woolworths stores amid the cost of living crisis.

At Woolworths Park Sydney on Ashmore St the one litre variety of Raw C coconut water is on offer for $4.50 while at the Fountain Street supermarket the same product is $3.

The stores are a 10 minute walk or a three minute drive from each other in Sydney's inner south.

According to Woolworths the more expensive store is a "convenience" branch, which opened in 2020 and was dubbed an "upmarket food hall".

Online the same item is $3.
