Neighbours hailed as 'heroes' after pulling woman from Gold Coast house fire
Witnesses to a horror Gold Coast house fire have been hailed as heroes after pulling an injured woman to safety.
Emergency services received reports of a home in the Currumbin Valley well alight with fears somebody was trapped inside about 7.30am today.
After hearing an explosion, neighbours to the property rushed inside, pulling a seriously injured 62-year-old woman to safety.

She had suffered serious burns to her face, chest and arms and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
Three fire crews worked on the property for hours, but were unable to save any of the home or the possessions inside from the blaze.
Karl Slade from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said the actions of the woman's neighbours saved her life.

"It was heroic what they did," Mr Slade said.
"They saved her."
It's not yet known what sparked the blaze, with early investigations suggesting some kind of cooking accident.
"The woman was doing cooking of some sort and there's been an explosion which has injured her," Mr Slade said.
The woman's husband returned to their property later that day but the entire home had been gutted by fire.
