Woman allegedly slashed with knife on morning walk in Gold Coast
A man has been arrested after allegedly slashing a woman with a knife while she took a walk at the Gold Coast earlier this morning.
Police said a 34-year-old woman was walking along the beach near the intersection of Marine Parade and Powell Crescent in Kirra at 5.20am today when a 20-year-old man allegedly tried to grab her.
The woman was able to resist the alleged attack, however she suffered a six centimetre knife wound to her left forearm as a result, police said.

The man fled the scene but was later arrested by police and taken into custody.
The woman was taken to Robina Hospital for treatment where is in a stable condition.
