Woman's death in Adelaide not suspicious

The death of a woman whose body was found on an Adelaide beach is not considered suspicious.

The body of the 73-year-old was found by joggers on Tuesday morning on the sand, just south of the Port Noarlunga jetty.

The woman's relatives have been advised of her death and a report will be prepared for the state coroner, police say.

The discovery sparked a major search of the sand involving State Emergency Service volunteers with a section of the beach closed for much of the morning.
