Screams heard before Vic woman's death

A neighbour says he heard screams before a woman was found dead outside a Melbourne home.

The 52-year-old's body was discovered in front of a Noble Park home at 6.15am (AEDT) on Thursday.

"I heard a woman yelling," a neighbour told Fairfax Radio.

Police haven't said how the woman died.

"I am not prepared to obviously reveal the intel," Acting Senior Sergeant Duncan Bartley told reporters at the scene.

"Obviously the (State Emergency Service) are here to look for the source of a possible weapon."

No arrests have been made.
