An attempted murder charge has been dismissed against an Adelaide woman accused of coercing a teenager into attempting suicide by overdosing on drugs.

Jasmin Emily Crewdson, 20, was charged with attempted murder on September 13 at a Glenside mental health facility.

On Friday, Adelaide magistrate David Whittle dismissed the charge for want of prosecution.

Crewdson's lawyer had told an earlier hearing his client was involved in a suicide pact and suggested the teenager took the tablets out of Crewdson's bag.

She still faces a charge of dishonestly taking property and an aggravated offence of deceiving another for benefit.
