Woman on the run after man stabbed at Spring Hill in inner-city Brisbane

A woman is being sought by police after a man was stabbed in inner-city Brisbane.

Paramedics were called to a Spring Hill property just before 4.20pm yesterday following reports a 42-year-old man had been stabbed.

"The woman has produced a knife and is believed to have stabbed the man to the abdomen and upper back before fleeing," police said in a statement.

The man was rushed to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a serious condition.

It's believed the man and woman are known to each other.

Police say they are now trying to track down the woman believed to be his attacker.

"We're still trying to gather information on who the suspect is," Inspector Daniel Bragg said.
