Dog kills WA woman

A woman has died after being mauled by a dog in Western Australia.

The woman, aged in her 50s, was attacked by a dog at a canine boarding kennel in Southern River about 1.30pm on Tuesday.

She received life threatening injuries and was declared dead by paramedics at the scene.

The dog has been seized by City of Gosnells rangers. 

West Australian Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious. 

"A report will be prepared for the Coroner," a police spokesperson told nine.com.au.
