Woman mauled by three dogs outside Sydney home

A young woman has been attacked by three dogs, believed to be boxers, while visiting a friend's home in Sydney's west.

The 22-year-old was taken to Auburn Hospital after her ear lobe was severed in the vicious attack.

She was visiting a friend's house this morning in Doonside when the three dogs attacked her.

The young woman was also bitten on the arms, leg and face and has undergone surgery to reattach her ear lobe.

Her friend tried to come to her aid during the attack but was also bitten on the ankles by the dogs.

She was also taken to hospital but was later released.

The three dogs were cordoned and their owner handed them over to Blacktown Council to be put down.
