One killed as unmanned truck crashes into home

A woman has been killed and a young boy injured when a truck with no driver rolled out of control and into a house in Wahroonga on Sydney's north shore.

The woman and child were believed to be pedestrians, a NSW Police spokeswoman told ninemsn.

The woman became trapped under the truck after it rolled down a driveway and crashed into a house.

She was treated by paramedics but died at the scene, police said.

The boy has been taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The ages of the two are not yet known.

"The driver of the truck, who was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident, is currently assisting police with their inquiries," police said.

No one else was injured during the incident.
