Woman hit by car in Sydney

A woman has been hit by a car believed to have been driven by someone known to her in inner Sydney.

The 32-year-old woman was injured about 11.30pm yesterday on Thomas Street, Haymarket.

She is in a stable condition at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

The car's 31-year-old driver has been taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
