A woman has been hospitalised with leg injuries after she was struck by a bus in the south-east Melbourne suburb of Cheltenham this morning.

Paramedics were called to the incident at the corner of Nepean Highway and Centre Dandenong Road about 7.30am, and found the woman half-underneath the bus.

The women, aged in her 50s, was partly under the bus but had not been run over, a Victoria Ambulance spokesperson said.

Roads near the scene were closed, but have since reopened.
