Woman found dead after caravan fire in regional Victoria

A woman has died in a caravan fire in Thornton, in Victoria's north east.
Police say they were already at a Goulburn Valley Highway Caravan Park on Tuesday afternoon for a welfare check.
The caravan was engulfed in flames at about 3.30pm.

The remains of a woman — believed to be the 64-year-old resident of the caravan — were found inside.
An arson chemist also attended the scene and there is nothing to indicate the fire was suspicious.
