Woman filmed reading book while driving on Perth highway
A Western Australian driver has shared a video of a fellow motorist reading while driving on a Perth motorway.
Adam French claims to have filmed the pre-occupied driver's trip on the Tonkin Highway on Thursday.
As Mr French drives past the blonde woman in an adjacent lane, her right hand can be seen on the steering wheel while her left hand holds the book.
It is unclear whether Mr French was the passenger or driver while filming the incident.
Condemnation of the woman's actions was swift after the video was shared on 9News Perth's Facebook page earlier today.
"Take her license - she doesn't take the responsibility of driving seriously and is an enormous risk to the whole community," Larry Pearce commented.
"Throw the book at her," Katie Robinson joked.
"She needs to be banned from driving. Then she would have plenty time to read her book on the train. She is putting the lives of people I care about at risk," Fiona Milne said.
