Woman drowns in rough seas after beaches closed along Coffs Coast
A woman has drowned in NSW as dangerous surf batters a huge stretch of the east coast.
Ex-tropical cyclone Seth is bringing severe weather to much of Queensland and causing enormous tides down through New South Wales.
On Monday afternoon, a 47-year-old woman died in rough seas at Park Beach in Coffs Harbour on the NSW Mid-North Coast.

The conditions at Park Beach were described as 'very severe'. 9News
"Just before 1pm there were reports of a woman unconscious in the water," Inspector Joel Casey from NSW Ambulance said.
Surf lifesaving volunteers found the woman after she had been swept away in "very severe water conditions" and gave her CPR until police arrived.
"Unfortunately, even with all the resources down here at the beach the 47-year-old has passed away, she was unable to be revived," Inspector Casey said.
The woman was in the area on holiday with her family.
Inspector Casey warned people to stay safe, only go to the patrolled beaches, and not to head out into the water alone.
Man missing at Mount Annan
NSW Police have found the body of a man after he disappeared at a lake in Mt Annan, south of Sydney.
Divers were called to the lake on Swansona Avenue on Monday afternoon after searches failed to find the 38-year-old.
Police said the man was seen entering the water just before 5pm but had failed to surface.
Meanwhile, two men had to be rescued from the surf at South Curl Curl on Monday evening, despite the beach being closed.
Surf life savers entered the water around 6pm to rescue the men caught in a rip.
