Woman dies after being pulled from water at Gold Coast beach

A woman has died after she was pulled from the water at a Gold Coast beach early this morning.
Emergency services rushed to Surfers Paradise beach around 4.15am.
The woman of unknown age was pulled unconscious from the surf.

Paramedics and police performed CPR to try to revive the woman but she died at the scene.
Queensland Police said a report would be prepared for the coroner.
