Woman dies after being hit by Brisbane bus
A 25-year-old woman has died after being hit by a council bus while crossing a road in the Brisbane CBD.
The woman, believed to be a backpacker, was struck by the bus at the intersection of Upper Roma Street and Sault Street about 3.45am today.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A tragedy has happened this morning,” Acting Inspector David Farley said.
The crash temporarily closed Upper Roma Street to motorists, but it has since been re-opened.
Investigations are ongoing.
