Woman dies after alleged attack by partner
A woman has died four days after she was allegedly assaulted by her partner at Bourke in north-west NSW.
The 38-year-old woman was with friends on Tuesday night when her 44-year-old partner allegedly assaulted her, breaking her leg.
She was taken to Bourke Hospital before being transferred to Dubbo Base Hospital where she died on Saturday.

Her partner has been charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm, however this may be upgraded when police receive the results of a post-mortem examination.
The man has been remanded in custody and is due to re-appear in court on January 5.
