Woman crushed by falling tree on bushwalk

A Gold Coast woman has been airlifted to hospital after being crushed by falling tree.
The woman heard a large crack while bushwalking on Mount Tamborine before the large tree fell on her.
The woman was 100 metres down an embankment in dense bush, creating difficulties for rescuers.

Queensland Ambulance paramedics worked with Fire and Rescue and SES using a rope system to pull her to safety.
A helicopter was called in to pull her off the mountain.
She was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition with back, shoulder and pelvic injuries.
