Woman suffers spinal injuries after tree falls on car in Sydney
A woman has suffered spinal injuries after a tree fell on a car in Sydney's south overnight.
A man and a woman had been driving along Menangle Road, near Glen Alpine, when the tree fell on their car about 8.20pm last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene after a large tree had fallen on the road and struck the car.

Police arrived to find a large gum tree had "extensively damaged" a Ford Ranger.
The tree also landed on the fence of a power substation and struck a transformer when it fell.
The 24-year-old driver of the car was not physically injured and was able to get out of the car.
The 22-year-old passenger was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition with head and spinal injuries.
Emergency crews worked to clear the tree and debris from the road this morning.

It comes as NSW has been thrashed by wild weather with heavy rainfall causing flash flooding.
NSW and Queensland received more than a month's worth of rain in a day yesterday.
The deluge has caused Sydney's Warragamba Dam to hit capacity and begin to spill.
More rainfall and thunderstorms will hit the state today as rivers overflow due to the downpour.
Multiple flood warnings are in place for inland rivers, the Hunter River and the Hawkesbury Nepean River.
