Son tells court to throw him in jail over alleged bashing of mum
A man told the courts to throw him in jail over the "vicious" alleged bashing of his "frail" mother at her workplace in Sydney's west.
Police allege Luke Henry attacked his mother Adelle Henry at a disability workshop in Mount Druitt after a verbal altercation yesterday.
The 60-year-old suffered a brain bleed and remains in a critical condition after the 26-year-old allegedly punched and kicked his mother in the head multiple times.

Police allege she was also thrown to the ground, causing her to hit her head on the concrete.
Henry appeared before the court today charged with several domestic-violence related offences.
When asked whether he wanted a legal representative, Mr Henry said he would "rather just be sentenced to five to ten years".
"I just want to do my jail time. I honestly don't care if you give me life," he said.
Staff members were also allegedly assaulted when they attempted to intervene.

"Being a workshop there were a couple of people there who suffer a varying degree of disability," Detective Chief Inspector Paul Tickner said today.
"A couple of them did arm themselves with a mop and a squeegee to confront the male and stop the attack.
"The male unfortunately armed himself with a fire extinguisher and they retreated back into the premises."

Ms Henry was treated for head injuries before being rushed to Westmead Hospital.
"There are a number of fractures to the face and a bleed to the brain," Mr Tickner said.
Mr Tickner said workers at the facility are "extremely traumatised" after witnessing the incident.
"it was a violent attack on a fairly frail 60-year-old lady."
The workplace released a statement following the incident saying they would continue to assist police to understand what happened.

"Our thoughts are prayers are with one of our own who was badly hurt today," the statement said.
The accused was being detained at Amber Laurel Correctional facility in Emu Plains and had been released from Nepean Mental Hospital the day prior to the attack.
A Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District spokesperson told 9News "a comprehensive review of the circumstances" was underway.
Henry said he thought his mother "was an evil demon or a gargoyle at the time".
He pleaded guilty to damaging a mobile phone.
He was denied bail and is due to appear before the court via video link in March.
