Woman charged over alleged attack on Sydney train
A woman has been charged after she allegedly punched another woman three times on a train in Sydney’s south.
About 4.30pm police were called after a 20-year-old woman allegedly approached another woman on the city bound train at Mortdale and punched her a number of times.
The 35-year-old woman, and her friend, got off the train and called police.
The 20-year-old alleged offender and her boyfriend also got off at Mortdale. They returned a short time later and were arrested by police.
The woman suffered swelling to her face during the alleged attack.
The 20-year-old woman was taken to Kogarah Police Station and charged with assault.
She was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday December 18.
