Woman accosted on inner Melbourne street

A man has been arrested in relation to the alleged late-night indecent assault of a woman on an inner Melbourne street.
The woman was walking with her female friend on Swanston street around 11.30pm (AEST) on Wednesday when they were accosted, police said.
A man approached the pair near the intersection with Lonsdale Street and indecently assaulted one woman before she managed to push him away.

A 23-year-old Preston man was later arrested and police have called for witnesses to come forward.
