Missing 90yo Victorian woman found safe and well

A 90-year-old woman who vanished after leaving a Melbourne CBD train station has been found.

Gwenith Haines had taken a morning train from Nagambie and was supposed to meet friends yesterday at the nearby National Gallery of Victoria at 11am, but never arrived.

Police asked city commuters to keep an eye out for her, as she did not have a mobile phone and her family was concerned.

But Ms Haines made contact with her daughter last night to say she is safe and had caught a taxi to Seymour.
