Wilkie claims victory in Denison

Incumbent independent MP Andrew Wilkie has claimed victory in the Tasmanian metropolitan seat of Denison.
With about 35 per cent of the vote counted, the Hobart-based politician held a two-party preferred result of more than 68 per cent.
"There has been a solid swing to me ... So I'm in a position to claim victory," Mr Wilkie told reporters, citing dissatisfaction among the electorate for his increased swing and a move against the Liberal party in Tasmania's other divisions.
