Wild weather brings ceiling crashing down on father and son as they watch TV
A father and son have survived a near-death experience after the ceiling of their home collapsed amidst wild winds in Western Australia.
Thirteen-year-old Dominic Vaughan and his dad were watching TV at 9pm on Tuesday when they heard the ceiling crack at their Joondalup home.
"We heard it crack again after that and then then the roof just fell," Dominic said.

Both of them were trapped as strong winds battered the home.
"It was so scary," Dominic said.
"I thought I was going to die."
The pair crawled their way to safety, only to have another part of the roof fall and trap Dominic's mum.
Emergency crews came to the rescue.

Crews removed fallen debris out of the rental to secure the home and get everyone out safely.
With three other young children in the house at the time, the family said it is thankful that everyone made it out safely.
