A woman has won an injunction in a Brisbane court to stop her husband spending their money after he blew $177,000 on strippers in four months.

The woman, who looks after the couple’s three children, told the Brisbane Family Court her husband had sold shares and taken $185,000 out of their superannuation fund, The Courier Mail Reports.

The husband had spent a total of $420,000 of their $3 million in net assets, she told the court.

The woman, who has no means of supporting herself, was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder because of the way her husband of 15 years had treated her.

The husband had worked as a partner at a law firm but was dismissed for reasons relating to alcohol abuse.

Judge Catherine Carew ordered the injunction to stop the husband withdrawing any of the couple’s assets without his wife’s written consent.

She also ordered the husband pay child support and school fees for the children.
