Memorial held for brothers killed in alleged hit-run
A memorial has been held on what would have been Sheldon Shorey's eighth birthday, just days after he and his brother were killed in an alleged hit-and-run.
Sheldon and his brother Shane were walking home from the local pool in Wellington, near Dubbo in NSW, on Tuesday when they were struck by a car.
Their mother Shayleen Frail and two other boys were also injured.

Today, friends, family and locals gathered at Dubbo Pool, where Sheldon was supposed to have a party for his birthday.
Dozens of colourful balloons were released into the air.
The man accused of being behind the wheel during the deadly crash, Jacob Donn, was refused bail in court yesterday.
The 25-year-old is facing 14 charges and will reappear in court next week.
