Hailstones, heavy rain and damaging winds to hit parts of NSW
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of New South Wales while the rest of the state experiences picturesque weather.
Large hailstones, heavy rainfall and damaging winds are forecast to thrash parts of the state this afternoon and into the evening.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued the warning for people in the Snowy Mountains, the Hunter region, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Blue Mountains and Southern Tablelands.

Footage showed the thunderstorm cloud ominously rolling over the Blue Mountains in the state's Central Tablelands while the rest of the sky was perfectly blue.
"A surface trough extending from western NSW down into northeast Victoria is linking up with a coastal trough moving up the southern NSW coast," the bureau said.
"These troughs are providing favourable conditions for severe thunderstorm development over southeast NSW this afternoon."
Residents in affected areas are urged to move their cars away from trees, stay inside and not to drive through flash flooding.

Over the next few hours, the severe weather could lead to flash flooding in some areas after a brief reprieve from the wet weather.
"Locations which may be affected include Katoomba, Cooma, Bombala, Bredbo, Adaminaby and Nimmitabel," the bureau said.
It comes as NSW mostly saw hot and clear conditions throughout Tuesday.
Sydney recorded a high of 29C.

But as the thunderstorms sweep through parts of the state today, NSW should prepare for the beautiful summer conditions to quickly change as rain moves across the state tomorrow.
The bureau is forecasting cloudy conditions with a high chance of showers and severe thunderstorms.
"Light winds becoming east to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the morning then tending south to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the early afternoon," the bureau said.
