Watchdog casts eye over election promises

The independent budget watchdog will release a report on the impact of Labor, Greens and coalition election promises on the federal books on Friday.
The Parliamentary Budget Office is required to report on party policy costings soon after each federal election.
The report will provide estimates of the total budget impact of the 2016 election commitments of the parties and costings of all promises.
