Third person charged over alleged Sydney stabbing murder

A third man has been charged over the alleged murder of Warwick Hunter in Sydney's west last year.

Just before 10.30pm on Sunday 15 November 2020, emergency services were called to Budgeree Road, Toongabbie, and found Mr Hunter, 49, on the footpath suffering multiple stab wounds.

Mr Hunter died at the scene.

Almost a year later, on November 10 this year, police arrested a 29-year-old man at Lake Munmorah on the NSW Central Coast.

A second man, also aged 29, was arrested at a Lalor Park home in western Sydney on November 18.

Both men were charged over their alleged roles in the incident and remain before the courts.

Just before 10.30pm, emergency services were called to Budgeree Road, Toongabbie, following reports a man had been stabbed.

Yesterday, police attended a prison at Wellington in NSW's Central West, and arrested a 32-year-old man.

He was charged with murder, robbery in company, and aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence (armed).

The man was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court via video link today.

Investigations are continuing.
