Warning to Turnbull on TPP medicine talks

The federal government is being urged to stay firm during its negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership over the issue of medicines.
Australia has a five-year data exclusivity period for biological products, but there was a push during talks in Atlanta to see that increased.
The Public Health Association of Australia has written to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on Saturday urging his government "to continue to resist any efforts to lengthen monopolies on biologics", warning it could increase the price of products.
