Warner scores maiden double-ton

David Warner has posted his maiden double-century in Australia's second Test against New Zealand.

Warner scampered through for a single late on day one of the WACA clash to reach the milestone.

It is Warner's fourth consecutive ton against New Zealand.

Warner scored 163 and 116 in the first Test, earning man-of-the-match honours in Australia's 208-run win at the Gabba last week.

The opener's previous Test knock against New Zealand came in 2011, when he carried his bat and scored 123no in Australia's seven-run loss at Hobart.
