Warm start to 2017 tipped for eastern Aust

Queenslanders and those living in NSW can expect a hot and dry start to 2017.
The Bureau of Meteorology's latest outlook is tipping warmer days and nights across northern and eastern Australia in January, and below average rainfall.
Cooler temperatures and a wetter month, though, are expected in Tasmania and parts of Western Australia.
