Warm days, nights for Australia's east

Australians in the country's east can expect warmer than average days and nights over the next few months, while it will be cooler for parts of the west.

After a wet and windy start to spring, the Bureau of Meteorology predicts conditions will ease between November and January.

"Rainfall during the November harvest is likely to be below average across much of southern mainland Australia," senior climatologist Andrew Watkins said in the bureau's latest outlook.
