WA man accused of being wig-wearing attack

A man has been charged after a wig-wearing attacker targeted a 23-year-old mother out walking with her 15-month-old baby and dogs in Perth.

The 62-year-old faces a string of charges after the attack at a popular exercise spot at Champion Lakes on Tuesday afternoon.

The woman, identifying herself only as Anneliese, says she is traumatised by the ordeal.

She told the Seven Network a man grabbed her from the back of her pants, wrapped his arm around her and said "come with me sweetie, I've got something to show you".

She screamed, causing the man to flee, and said she was relieved she had her dogs which growled.

The man, from Champion Lakes, has been charged with offences including deprivation of liberty, act likely to endanger life, health or safety and aggravated indecent assault.

He is scheduled to face Armadale Magistrates Court on September 19.
