Police allegedly find meth in McMuffin after traffic stop
An out-of-place item in a takeaway bag of fast food yielded up an alleged drug bust after police in Western Australia say they found a bag of meth inside a McMuffin.
Broome-based Senior Constable Ben Lucas told the latest podcast episode of WA Police Confidential he was among officers who pulled over a car in the town after carrying out some surveillance as part of an ongoing operation.

Police searched the car, Lucas said, including a bag of “fresh, hot, warm, lovely-smelling Chicken Treat” – a WA-based fast food outlet.
But within the bag, he said, was a “cold, discarded” McMuffin.
“That, obviously, drew our attention,” he told Confidential.
Searching the muffin, police allegedly found a bag of 3.5 grams of meth concealed between the bacon and egg of the fast food snack.
WA Police said a 39-year-old Derby man was charged after a car stop in Cable Beach on August 20 at about 2.10pm.
The man was charged with possession with intent to sell or supply.
He will next appear in court on September 9.
