West Coast Eagles' Dean Cox to retire just short of record 300 games

West Coast ruckman Dean Cox will retire from the game at the end of the season.

The six-time All Australian has confirmed to 9NEWS he will today announce his retirement.

Cox, who will turn 33 in a week, will finish his career just a few games shy of being the first Eagles player to reach the 300 games mark.

He’s played 286 games for West Coast.
