WHERE THEY CAMPAIGNED

* Colin Barnett in Midland, which Labor holds with a margin of just 0.5 per cent

* Mark McGowan in Liberal-held Perth (2.8 per cent)

HIGHLIGHTS

* A Galaxy poll commissioned by Seven West Media showed Labor has a 54 to 46 per cent lead over the Liberal-National alliance on a two-party preferred basis. Mr Barnett said his party was still in the game because 15-20 per cent of voters were undecided

* Labor's longest-serving prime minister Bob Hawke was interviewed by Mr McGowan at a town hall forum in the CBD then had a beer with him at a rooftop bar named in the 87-year-old's honour. The legendary skuller didn't down it in one go, though

* One Nation leader Pauline Hanson flies in on Sunday night for a week of campaigning in WA, mainly in the regions, after calling the third candidate to quit over the party's preference deal with the Liberals, Ray Gould, a Labor stooge for speaking out about it
