WA woman's screams scare off sex attacker

A 28-year-old woman has allegedly escaped an attempted sexual assault outside her own home in Perth's east after her screams scared the attacker away and woke other people in the house.

Police said the woman was walking down the driveway of her Wright Street home in Cloverdale on October 29 about 1.30am when a man grabbed her from behind and pulled her to the ground.

The man, who was wearing dark clothing, is described as being dark skinned, about 175cm tall, with a medium build and dark hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
