WA town Quindanning under bushfire threat
The small town of Quindanning south of Perth is under threat from a bushfire, authorities warn.
The warning is part of the emergency alert that's still in place for the southern part of Lower Hotham in the Shires of Boddington and Collie.
"Quindanning is under immediate threat from the bushfire," the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said.
"Properties east of Boundary Road and in the vicinity of Quindanning-Darkan Road will be impacted by fire.
"Homes on the eastern side of Lower Hotham Road may be impacted by bushfire."
DFES confirmed earlier on Thursday that one home in the region had been destroyed.
The fire intensity has increased throughout the day due to unfavourable weather conditions.
The blaze is moving fast in an easterly direction.
The fire was sparked by lightning on Saturday.
