WA student attacks classmate with crowbar

A student has suffered minor injuries after he was attacked by a classmate with a crowbar, which sent a Perth school into partial lockdown.

Police say they were called to Hampton Senior High School in Morley at about 9:30am on Tuesday and confiscated the weapon.

A Department of Education spokeswoman told AAP teachers quickly intervened to defuse the situation.

A teenage boy is assisting police with their investigation.
