Fresh tracks have been found in the search for a hunter missing for five days in a remote desert country in Western Australia's Goldfields region.

Reginald George Foggerdy, 62, was last seen on Wednesday heading to the Shooter's Shack camp, about 170km east of Laverton.

Late on Monday, a search team found fresh tracks and are following them to see if they lead to Mr Foggerdy, a WA Police spokesman said.

A team of police from Kalgoorlie is expected to join the search.

State Emergency Service crews from Perth will also join the search.

Separately, the search continues for missing prospector Jennie Kehlet, 49, whose husband Raymond Kehlet, 47, was found dead at the bottom of a disused mineshaft in the Sandstone area in WA's Mid West region in April.

The couple had been missing since March 22 and police assume the woman has died.
