WA prospectors safe after late return

Three prospectors thought to be missing in Western Australia's Goldfields region have made contact with police.

The men's employers reportedly raised the alarm when the trio failed to return from an eight-day trip to Pinjin Station.

Police said the men had decided to stay where they were because of heavy rain but were now on their way to Kalgoorlie.
