WA policeman charged over alleged assault

A West Australian policeman has been charged and stood aside from operational duties after he allegedly assaulted a woman.
The detective sergeant has been charged with aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm over an incident at a home on February 21, which left the victim with facial injuries.
He will appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court later on Monday.
