Fortescue mine worker injured

A contractor is in a stable condition after being injured at a Fortescue Metals mine in Western Australia's Pilbara region.
Fortescue confirmed the man was transferred to Perth for treatment on Thursday after sustaining an injury while working at the Cloudbreak iron ore mine.
A company spokesman said he understood the contractor's injuries were not life threatening.
