AAP
A man has been charged with stealing product from the gold mine he was working at valued at more than $200,000.
The 52-year-old stole the gold while working at a mine near Laverton in February this year then sold some of it and kept the rest, police say.
The money and gold was allegedly found at the man's Lamington home nearly 400km away and he was charged by the Gold Stealing Detection Unit with stealing as a servant and gaining a benefit by fraud.
