WA man's disappearance treated as homicide

Police are treating the disappearance of a man from Western Australia's north last year as a suspected homicide.

Lindsay Judas was aged 55 when he was last seen on February 8, 2013 in Broome where he had travelled to go fishing.

At the time of his disappearance, police believed he was last seen driving along Trig Street in Wedgefield, near South Hedland.

Mr Judas' disappearance was considered totally out of character, police said.

According to a Facebook page dedicated to finding Mr Judas, his ATM card was used in Broome the day he disappeared.

Fears mounted for his welfare when he did not show up for work on February 14 last year.

His car was found months later in north Queensland, the group said.

On his birthday earlier this year, the Facebook group posted: "Today is your birthday and I'm lost for words, plenty of thoughts and wishes ... your family has had nothing but concern, as to what happened to you."

Police are looking for two vehicles they have identified in relation to Mr Judas' disappearance.
